Why become a volunteer?

It is important for ULB-Cooperation to create a network of citizens who constitute the voice of the NGO. Volunteers contribute to our mission of informing, raising awareness and mobilizing the population in Belgium.

They participate daily or occasionally in various activities alongside the ULB-Cooperation team. Depending on your interest and availability, you can get involved in the following activities:

  • Organisation of the “Cooperation Day”
  • Writing articles for our newsletter or our blog
  • Fundraising
  • Animation of awareness or promotion stands
  • Organisation of conferences
  • Social networks
  • Logistical and/or administrative support…

Why choose ULB-Cooperation?

By becoming a volunteer :

  • You join a dynamic and available team
  • You have the opportunity to meet our partners
  • You can make your voice heard
  • You have the opportunity to gain experience and acquire new skills
  • You participate in projects of equity and international solidarity

What does it mean to be a volunteer at ULB-Cooperation?

As a volunteer with ULB-Cooperation, you help the NGO by offering your time and skills. We determine together the terms of this volunteer work, the duration, the frequency, etc., to suit the needs of both parties. We take out insurance to protect you in case of an accident at the place of service. We reimburse you for your transportation costs. All of this is documented in a volunteer agreement. Like employees, volunteers sign the ULB-Cooperation code of conduct, which defines the values to which we adhere.
